It is only when you learn that ScHoolboy Q hopped in the booth and freestyled the whole thing that you realize how good this autobiographical track is. Seriously, pick up the Blank Face LP. It’s every bit as good as The Life Of Pablo.

Watched this the other day and found it to be pretty unsettling. Still can’t figure out if Q is glorifying his more violent days or just chronicling them.

Blank Face puts TLOP to shame. Fanta Fantano says 5/10, but what does he know.

Believe it or not, he’s just chronicling them. His perspective is that life is fucked up, and this is what it is. Definitely in contrast to Kendrick’s view of life being fucked up, but there’s always something beautiful.

I like both equally. TLOP is a view inside Kanye’s head, and it’s amazingly weird. Blank Face is a view from deep inside the Hoover Street Crips, and boy is it ever dark.

Regardless, the Groovy Tony video is really cool

Blank faces was great, I've been listening to it about as much as I listened to TLOP when it came out. He's coming to my city in September with Joey bada$$ and I'm really excited to go. Sidenote, do you listen to lil Yachty?

Mind you, I think Kanye peaked at Graduation or MDTF, but I think Father Stretch My Hands Pt.1 has one of the best beats and drops of this generation, and Ultralight Beam is an instant classic. Kanye is an odd dude, and TLOP just proves it. I think Blank Face LP is Q’s best work so far, in my opinion. Just wait until my mixtape drops.

Q’s new album has a little bit of everything on it - He mentioned in an interview that he was really inspired by Ice Cube and Straight Outta Compton the movie when he made John Muir. He has some really great artists on here too - Tha Dogg Pound, SZA, E-40
